Well, we've now finished the 2nd week of the summer camping season. The family camp was well attended. There were 5 different speakers during the week. The families seemed to enjoy everything that went on. Highlights from the week were: T-shirt stenciling on Tuesday, celebrating holidays each evening with decorations, dinner, and desserts, the craft cabin, carpet ball, riflery, swimming, and children's classes. Kim had about 20+ in her class; I had just 7 or 8 preschoolers (but that kept me busy and on my toes!). There was a bike/child accident that ended up with "glue" in the E.R. and a lady who ended up in the E.R. because of an inner ear infection. Holidays/meals were Fourth of July (on the 4th, of course) with chicken & corn-on-the cob, Thanksgiving with turkey and fruit cobbler, Christmas with ham and Christmas cookies, Valentine's Day with a banquet/steak dinner, and Easter with pork and Carrot cake.
We had a good day today - cleaning and getting things ready for next week. I have all the staff packets sitting in the office ready to hand out. Now, how many changes will there be to the roster before Monday night?
